Junior Golf

Op 36 Academy

What is Op 36? It’s a special program that is designed to master the game in reverse. Our junior players begin at the hole. They putt first, chip second, then progress to longer shots. With each successful shot, they earn the chance to play longer and longer shots. Their goal is to shoot 36 on nine holes. We offer multiple Op 36 classes throughout the season and monthly on-course sessions.

PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE

The PGA Junior League is an excellent starting point for junior golfers who enjoy competing in a team setting. Matches are played using a scramble format in teams of two. Participants engage in weekly practices and take part in six (or more) matches against other local clubs here at Persimmon and at the opponents’ home courses. Players may be nominated at the end of the season to be part of the All-Star team, where they can travel and progress through various tournament stages, with the goal of reaching Nationals.
